Scott W Olewine, LUTCF, ChFC®, RICP

Founder & Principal

Since 2001, Scott has been working with his clients to define their goals and provide clarity to their finances, helping them create customized financial plans to best serve their retirement, investment and other planning needs. In 2001, Scott followed his calling and joined New York Life Insurance Company straight out of college. Olewine Financial Group was soon formed with a focus on education and helping clients, and specializing risk management solutions to care for the “what if?” scenarios.

Scott prides himself on working with his clients before, during and after the planning process to help ensure they understand what’s happening every step of the way. He takes the time to make sure clients are never second guessing their decisions, and is always honest and transparent during the process.

During his time as a financial advisor, Scott has earned a lifetime membership with the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)*, and has consistently placed in New York Life’s competitive Chairman’s Councils**.

In 2001, Scott graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with a BS in Finance and Economics. Scott and his wife Jolene live in Youngsville, PA with their three children; Brady, Kenzie, and Ethan. In addition to spending time with his family, Scott enjoys hunting, cycling, and working out.

*The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), The Premier Association of Financial Professionals, is recognized globally as the standard of excellence for life insurance sales performance in the insurance and financial services industry.Scott achieved MDRT in 2002-2017.

Gary M. Barnes

Financial Services Professional

Gary began his career in the retail banking industry assisting people with their financial and banking needs for over 12 years. Gary joined Olewine Financial Group in December 2017 to expand his ability to help individuals, families, and small business owners define and achieve their financial goals. Gary’s main priority is to help people make well informed decisions on what types of investments are right for them and putting them on the path to financial success. He prides himself on providing honest, personalized service and keeping his clients involved through the entire process.

Gary also emphasizes adjusting strategies as goals and needs change. Gary listens to concerns and shares all information about potential choices including benefits, risks, and how it fits their personal strategy.

Gary was born and raised in Warren, Pennsylvania where he currently resides with his wife, Cindy, and their two boys, Payton and Braylon. Gary enjoys hunting, working outdoors, sporting events, traveling, and most of all spending time with his family.

Sue Leichtenberger

Office Manager

Sue has served as Office Manager for over five years. As the first point of contact, Sue ensures that each and every one of our clients are well taken care of and connected to the right individuals for meeting their needs. Her experience with serving clients is evident through her interactions with them and her dedication to filling their needs exemplifies superb customer service. She enjoys kayaking, bike riding, working outdoors, reading, and spending time with her husband Carl and their family.

Our Process

Through our process-driven, holistic approach, Olewine Financial Group is able to offer our clients proven strategies effective for establishing and growing personal wealth.

Our process includes five steps:

Step One - We hold an initial meeting with clients to determine what their financial goals are, and whether or not working together would be a good fit.

Step Two - Once it has been decided that we should move forward we collect all information pertaining to the client’s current financial situation.

Step Three - After reviewing the client’s current financial situation, we then decide which strategies would be most effective, based on the client’s goals.

Step Four - We will then present the client with strategies that best meet their goals, and allow the client to decide which path is most comfortable to them.

Step Five - We implement the plan, and follow up with constant monitoring and periodic review.
